Good afternoon!

Running late with this today.

Nothing new here... hot until this weekend when temps will take about a 10 degree drop to more seasonal levels. 


Forecast models are coming into better agreement, at least through
the beginning of the weekend with diverging solutions emerging by
Both the ECMWF/GFS shift the upper level high and
riding eastward through the period, allowing ripples around the
base of the upper level high to focus mainly afternoon and evening
convection over southern portions of the forecast area and along
the mountain of north Georgia. Models are in good agreement with
a wave impacting south FL Friday/Saturday, with impacts over the
eastern Gulf next week. Trends continue to put the main impacts
west of the state, but spread ample moisture into the area
beginning Sunday.
Will continue increasing POPs. Warm temperatures
will persist through the end of the work week with slightly lower
high temperatures by the weekend and into the first half of next


Sooo... our focus will be on the tropics and what may happen in the Gulf. Right now the NHC has a 60% chance of the formation of a tropical depression. 




So as you can see, there is potential trouble on the horizon. As we continue to get closer in time we'll get more details as to what may happen, but for now, we wait and watch.
