Good Friday morning!

Guess what's coming? Do you remember rain? ūüôā¬†Rain will be making a big splash starting Sunday and will be around for 4 days. YEA! And guess what else is coming? Yes! Cool weather! This is gonna be great, I need to get back home to enjoy it!

Here's the Atlanta NWS's thoughts

Quote

The first few days of the long term consists of a series of waves
developing on a boundary in the vicinity of central GA. The ECMWF
and GFS remain similar on the overall pattern. The long term
begins with a weak cold front stretching across central GA.
Available moisture looks limited at this time but not confident
enough to leave pops out...so have included a slight chance of
showers mainly central. The next wave forms on the front by Monday
and the boundary gets pushed a bit farther south into the state.
The next wave for Tuesday and Tuesday night is stronger and could
produce rainfall totals of an inch or more across portions of
north and central GA. A strong trough moving across the Great
Lakes should push this front to our south on Wednesday. Expect
cooler weather for the middle of next week.

I posted the Extended Forecast Discussion from the Weather Prediction Center a few minutes ago, and they appear pretty gungho about this event

Here is their precip outlook

Here's a look at conditions around the country this morning. A large area of low pressure is hanging out along the NE coast while the western US is buried under snow and brutally cold temperatures for this time of the year.

Gotta run for now, I'll  be back later with more information.

Have a great Friday!
