Good morning!

Well... that wasn't too bad. It's like we have a wall on the AL/GA border that keeps out the really bad weather. 🙂 All is quiet this morning now that the rain has pushed to our south, and means that we are going to have about 3 great days of weather with no rain and sunny skies! 🙂 The combination of having to stay at home and THEN having to stay inside just makes people stir-crazy, so it will be nice to get outside and get some fresh air.

I had to zoom way out this morning just to find some weather on the map and it looks like our exiting storm is about the only weather event that is active right now.  Snap346064277.thumb.png.d6bd489060e0864c9dc8da32ef66b62f.png

Temperatures are mild to warm across most of the country with the exception being out west where they are running just a little below normal. These were the 5:30 AM temps over the southeast this morning.

Our normal lows look like this, so we are quite a bit above normal in most places this morning.

We are going to warm up even more as we approach the weekend, and Friday and Saturday look to be the warmest days. These are roughly the high temperatures that we'll be looking at through Saturday.

We'll know exactly how much rain fell later today, but here is the radar estimated amounts for now.ffc-stp-25.thumb.png.aa8d76268a547b9ed52ec5be89579f9e.png

That's pretty much it. I can't wait to get outside today and enjoy the sun and fresh air. I suspect the pollen count will be low this morning but tomorrow morning will be a different story.

Today I'd like to share a music video from a female artist that you all know. This was recorded here in Atlanta many, many years ago.... here's Linda Ronstadt singing Blue Bayou.
Have a GREAT Wednesday! 🙂

I made a comment about watching the GFS and the “ funky patterns”.

I thought of what I could compare the experience to.  It is like being out in the water on one of the beaches and waiting to ride the waves and seeing the wave build up but as it moves toward you it breaks early and fizzes out.  But the last run today I said to myself “ now those look good”. 😂

Severe weather with the cool down at the 1st of the month?  I see some freezing for lows

It's possible. The negative NAO may be part of the cause for what you are seeing. I haven't really looked at the models much today, once I get tired of the sunshine I'll look a little closer. 🙂

@RickyD looked at the models and the Euro is trending colder from the 1st on, but no freezing temps except for "maybe" the very highest elevations of the mountains.
