Good morning! It's Hump Day!!!

Another glorious day in store today as well as tomorrow. High clouds and temps in the low 80's make for a great spring day!

The rain does return Thursday night and into Friday, but nothing severe in the forecast. There really isn't a lot to talk about as far as the weather goes right now, we're in a typical end of spring pattern. The severe weather season for north Georgia is starting to fade like the pollen. I have a new page that shows the chances for the various modes of severe weather based on past history from the SPC, and the maps displayed are for the current date. Check it out. http://www.daculaweather.com/4_spc_today_climo.php

If you'd like to read the summary of last Friday's severe weather system that moved through, here's the link from the Atlanta NWS office: April 19 Severe Weather Summary

As far as the long term outlook goes... the models are inconsistent. 🙂

Quote

LONG TERM /Thursday Night through Tuesday/...
Shower chances will be increasing Thursday night and continuing
into Friday with the approach and passage of an upper level trough

and surface front. Some instability associated with allow for at
least a slight chance of thunderstorms and possibly a chance of
thunderstorms to start Friday. Models rather consistent during this
timeframe with the upper trough and deeper moisture.

The models are inconsistent with the exiting rain chances later Friday
with the NAM/GFS ending all rain later Friday and the European is
slower.

A weak cold front moves across the area on Sunday with mainly small
shower and possibly thunderstorm chances for n GA Saturday night
and Sunday.

Model inconsistent with southerly flow and some increased moisture
over the mountains on Tuesday so only small chances for a shower
or thunderstorm on Tuesday.

I have to share this picture with you. This bird apparently didn't know there was a window there... 😯

Hope you have a better day than the bird!!! 😜

🙂 Oh yes, thoroughly enjoying it! 🙂 My sister shared a video with me of the raging Little Pigeon River. Have you seen this?

Just a reminder for everyone. The best way to get a complete weather summary for the day is by going to this link. It's a great overall view of the weather, not just for Georgia, but national wide.

At the top of this page (on a computer), you would find it here. On a mobile device it will look different, but you'll find it.

Pollen count back up slightly after a couple of days of no readings. Of course they could have been at this level for the last two days, not out of the question.

Thank you very much! There is a big variance in knowledge with our crowd here, and that makes it tough for me to strike a balance in what I show and talk about. That's why I try to post links to many of the things that I show and why I reference my DaculaWeather.com site so often. I figure if someone is interested enough, they'll save the link and go back and look on their own the next time! 🙂 Or that's my hope!

That's my plan.  I've been looking every day since you shared that one.
