Good morning! 🙂

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Saturday was a little soggy but yesterday turned out to be great once the clouds left, I was even able to cut my grass in the afternoon.

Three days of really nice weather are coming up, so if you can, try to get out and enjoy them. Beginning Thursday, the rain returns to the picture and it looks to hand around into next week.

Unsettled weather pattern setting up for the long term portion of
the forecast.

Active mid levels through the period. The pattern goes between
slight ridging aloft at the beginning of the period to zonal fast
flow by the weekend into early next week. The GFS has some
interesting perturbations moving east in the flow that don't look
natural Thursday into Friday. The ECMWF is a bit better (and more
natural) with the active flow aloft.

Surface high pressure over the Carolinas remains in control of the
sensible weather through Wednesday. The high center begins to shift
offshore and northward later Wednesday into the end of the week as a
frontal boundary moves into the Lower Mississippi River Valley. By
this time, the flow aloft has turned more zonal, so the front should
adopt a more east-west orientation. The front looks to stall
somewhere across northern GA or along the NC/GA/TN line. Several of
the mid level disturbances will interact with the old boundary
causing rounds of shra/tsra through the weekend into early next

Each day that passes brings the heavier precip colors a little further south. Here's the next 7 days from the WPC and Weatherbell

So for the moment, nothing to really talk about except sunny skies and low 80's for highs, at least until Thursday.

Here are some morning pictures I found from the Smokies today. There is a reason they are called the Smokies! Enjoy!
