Good Saturday morning!

Running a little late this morning, I was up at 5 setting stuff out for a yard sale we're having today. Anyone need anything? 🙂

Some serious severe weather over the plains yesterday, and there will be more days to come. Day 3 is already a Moderate Risk and I'll lay money on a High Risk starting tomorrow. To see a Moderate this far out let's you know just how serious this may be.



If you followed yesterday's post, you saw some clips of the tornadoes yesterday, and there will be more today. 

But the story for us will be about the heat.


Through the remainder of the week, the aforementioned upper ridge
will continue to strengthen, and temperatures will warm through
the 90's area wide. By late week into the Memorial Day weekend,
highs will reach at least the upper 90's in central Georgia with
mid 9'0s farther north. Some record highs will be at risk as triple
digit highs become increasingly possible in at least portions of
central Georgia by the Friday-Saturday time frame. For reference,
the highest temperatures on record in the month of May at the
four primary climate sites are 97 in Atlanta, 99 in Macon, and 100
in Columbus and Athens. At least some of these all-time record
