Good morning!

Well Saturday was for me a stereotypical fall day for north Georgia. Blue skies, crisp temperatures, and breezy winds made for a perfect day. I'm a little concerned that all the winds we're having may be stripping some of the leaves off the trees a little prematurely but we'll see. Those winds may be a little gusty today as well. And as I suspected, I never made it out of the 50's yesterday, I had a high of 57.9º F. So far this month yesterday was the coolest day and night. Day is defined as 6am-6pm and night is of course 6pm-6am. You can see all of this information on the main page at DaculaWeather.com.

The morning map (300 mb isobars/850 mb winds/dew points/water vapor) shows tranquil conditions across the southeast this morning. The flow at about 4800 feet has shifted to the southwest for us, and that will slowly bring an increase in  a few high clouds as we move through the day. Notice the warmer dewpoints to our west, those will also creep back in over north Georgia as the day goes on.

But all that's really going to happen is that the temperatures will warm up a little bit this week. Expect to see low to mid 70's for highs until we get toward weekend. Right now the models diverge on what might happen at that point, so we won't look too far ahead at the moment. So we're going to have a pretty typical fall forecast through Friday.

I hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather today!
Have a great Sunday!
