  1. I don’t know but the 18z HWRF takes the pressure down to 935mb at landfall bear Cancun. That would be insane intensification.
  2. The 12z trend is really pushing the heaviest rains south of I-20 now. More like the Macon area instead of metro Atlanta.
  3. Also heard word of a sting jet that would bring breezy conditions to Tennessee North Carolina and Virginia.
  4. Strong storm here in Buford. Strongest winds were in the heart of the storm. Marble size hail. Temp went from 83 to 59
  5. Yesterday’s storms were fun to watch. Here in Buford I only got .05 hundredths of rain but had over 330 lightning strikes detected in an hour. Fun storms!
  6. What’s your take on the complex in Tennessee? None of the short range models have handled it correctly with intensity nor timing.
  7. Looks like the NAM is slowing the progression of the line coming through tomorrow. Looks potent as well.
  8. Guess we can't complain to much! It has been rather nice the last few weeks and actually Spring like.
  9. Wind is howling in Buford. Gust of 28 just now.
  10. Yeah after the back edge of the rain shield moved through I had a wind gust of 31 on my weather station in Buford
  11. Looking at the 18z HRRR I get the concern. You can see the discrete cells develop after the MCS later in the day.
  12. Well I guess there is still enough uncertainty in the models to warrant this risk.
  13. Looking at the 12z models as they role in and they do not look impressive at all for tomorrow.
  14. This is what I was talking about. Strong wording.
  15. The NWS out of Peachtree City is typically fairly "tame" in regards to the language they use with events two to three days away. However, their afternoon discussion was quite lengthy and eye opening in my opinion.
  16. If the low stops trending NW we should be better off this go around in northern Georgia. Wait and see though!
  17. I believe the El Reno tornado several years ago was 2.6 miles wide but not sure about distance.
  18. What also gets me is that the storms are no where near really and there is a decent amount of lightning and thunder
  19. Yeah for good reason. They have “that look”
  20. Not a fan of those cells developing ahead of the line in south central Alabama.
  21. Temperature in Buford at my location just jumped 7 degrees in less than 5 minutes. It was accompanied by a 21 mph gust
  22. I feel like the best situation for counties north and east of Atlanta is that the wedge holds strong. However the wedge itself, at least along of the wedge, can help create its own rotating environment.
  23. Can’t help but notice that along where the wedge is and the best parameters moving in has some of the highest parameters. The wedge can be your friend but can help increase rotation.
  24. Any stats on how well the three day moderate risk has verified in regards to amount of Tornadoes, severe hail reports and non tornado wind damage?
  25. If with that in mind I have read discussion to where they could merge and form a QLCS and with all of that wind aloft no thanks.
