1. What types of impacts can we expect here? I see it looks like lots of rain. Will it be gusty as well? I always love getting Hurricane remnants, only this time we are moving back into our home that we lost to fire and the timing isn’t great for us. 😢 We have to be out of our rental by Sunday. Also, they are trying to finish last minute things, so if deliveries or inspections get delayed, we have a problem. 😬
2. We just had a lot of rain and some wind in NE Cobb. Didn’t seem too bad for us.
3. Noooo! We’ll be out of town. This must can we push this back to Sunday, please?!?
4. Coming down pretty good here in Ne Cobb, but the flakes are getting smaller. About 1/2” accumulation so far.
5. This makes me happy. I need some happy. It is still spitting flakes here in NE cobb and has been all day. No accumulation, of course, but I did see some accumulation in roof valleys.
6. I wore flip flops that day because I thought I was just driving my car to my daughter’s OT appt and then back. While we were there, they announced the school closings, so I drop what should have been 15 minutes to the other kids elementary school. It took an hour. Picked them up and then I still had to pick up my son from pre-k another 10 minutes away. That took an additional 2 hours. I was so annoyed. Then I got home and saw the news and was instantly grateful. I was so afraid I was going to have to trek my kids home in the snow in my flip flops.
7. I live close to that area in the Cobb Cherokee line, just further east and we are definitely seeing lightning.
8. Sigh....I wish hubby was home. I hate having him camping in this weather. I’m sure the camp is paying close attention and will require them to come indoors if necessary, especially after the the death at Bert Adams in the summer. It just makes me super nervous.
9. First of all, yes please on the snow. Secondly, do I need to worry about hubby camping in Blairsville this weekend? Sigh...he was backpacking during the smokies snow in early December, then our house burnt down, so my anxiety might be a little bit high right now. I can’t help be be freaking out about a tree falling in his tent. 😳😬
10. They ended up coming home on Monday instead of staying. They definitely got snow, though. I might have been a little jealous. Hubby would have stayed another night, but his friend was struggling with the cold, so they came home early.
11. Ummmm....yikes! Hubby and a friend went backpacking for two days in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park from Fontana Dam in a loop up to Gregory Bald and back down. He told me they might get flurries, but this looks like inches of snow! Now I’m kind of worried about them.
12. Prayers for your mom and you to have peace during this time.
13. This was such a good explanation for us laymen/women. I don’t know how to embed it, so I’m just leaving the link here. https://mobile.twitter.com/TropicalTidbits/status/1168325893191847936

Sunday night video update on Hurricane #Dorian:https://t.co/YZAQ0qPePD
— Levi Cowan (@TropicalTidbits) <a href="https://twitter.com/TropicalTidbits/status/1168325893
14. I’ve been watching this through this page and twitter and am frankly horrified by what the Bahamas are about to endure. I’m pray it turns earlier so Florida is spared, but it feels like that is looking less likely. Thanks for keeping us updated.
15. Flurries in Northeast Cobb right now.
