The expected persistence of high pressure and continental trajectories east of the Rockies should limit severe-weather potential early next week including Days 4-5 Monday/Tuesday. Gradual airmass modification and low-level moistening in advance of a Western CONUS upper trough should lead to at least some severe risk across the southern Plains/ArkLaTex region into Day 6/Wednesday, and probably more so into Day 7/Thursday across parts of the southern Plains/Ozarks to Lower Mississippi Valley. However, guidance variability, including uncertainties regarding initial moisture quality, precludes 15% severe risk areas at this time.
