The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Eastern Colorado
  Western Kansas
  Southwest Nebraska

* Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 345 PM until
  1100 PM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter likely
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Widely scattered to scattered thunderstorms will probably
develop across the Watch area this afternoon into the evening.  The
stronger storms, including supercells, will likely be capable of a
large to very large hail threat and severe gusts.  A tornado is
possible with a mature supercell during the early evening.  The
severe risk will probably transition to primarily a wind and hail
risk during the mid to late evening.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 95
statute miles east and west of a line from 5 miles north of Imperial
NE to 30 miles east of Elkhart KS. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

2.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 65 knots. A
